We are Makam Salam — a collective of musicians, artists, and allies from across Israel-Palestine, the Middle East, and the Jewish Diaspora, creating together to foster an envirovnment encouraing peace and justice, empathy, and understanding. Through music and art, we build bridges where there are walls, and create moments of connection where there is division.
In these times of conflict and polarization, we choose to raise our voices for solidarity, shared connection, peace and justice.
We believe that music and art are powerful tools to humanize the narratives of all people, dismantle fear, and inspire action.
Our work centers on:
Uniting communities across borders and identities.
Amplifying voices for peace and justice, especially in times of violence and oppression.
Supporting grassroots initiatives bringing real change and humanitarian aid on the ground.
We believe that peace is possible - and it begins here, with connection, empathy, and collective action.
Our concerts are not just performances — they are spaces of healing, solidarity, and dialogue. Each event brings together world-class artists and local communities for an evening of powerful music, storytelling, and collective hope.
Makam Salam with Mira Awad – an award-winning Palestinian-Israeli artist and artivist. Together, we’ve created unforgettable performances of her song *“Yaba”*, honoring the deep roots and struggles of Palestinian identity.
* Collaborations with artists from **Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, and the Jewish Diaspora**, building bridges through shared music and storytelling.
Our Impact
Beyond the stage, we take action. Our events raise funds for humanitarian organizations fostering peaceful action or necessary humanitarian aid. Every ticket, every note, and every voice contributes to real-world change.

TMakam Salam was born from a deep belief in the power of cross-sectarian collaboration between Middle Eastern artists — Palestinian, Israeli, Lebanese, Iranian, and more — and in the ability of art to open hearts and create pathways toward deeper understanding and collective imagining of a shared future.
Through collaboration, dialogue, and the courage to share difficult truths, we take the first steps toward a more peaceful and just world, rooted in empathy, dignity, and collective liberation. Our goal is to nurture equality, safety, and freedom for all people across the Holy Land and the Middle East.
We believe in freeing ourselves and one another from boundaries — whether they stem from gender, religion, ideology, or national borders. By seeing beyond labels and recognizing our shared humanity, we can dissolve fear, build trust, and begin to break down the walls that divide us.
We call for collective liberation — for the oppressed and the oppressor to be freed from their roles, for all people to rise beyond systems of hate and division, for communities to be safe, connected, and empowered. Through music, we create spaces where peace, equality, empathy, and understanding are not just ideals, but lived experiences we can build together.
